Our Youth of the Month is Dr. Enow Awah Georges Stevens! Enow Awah Georges Stevens MD is a Youth Frontline Health worker, Sexual and Reproductive Health Clinician, skilled community health Advocate and a certified Entrepreneur by UNCTAD. He has over Seven (7) years experience in research and advocacy on global health, HIV/AIDs, Sexual, Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, child and Adolescent health (SRMNCAH).

He is a leader in ensuring information education and communication activities to prevent and manage sexual transmitted diseases (STIs) and HIV/AIDS cases among vulnerable groups. He has extensive experience in Emergency obstetric and neonatal care, family planning, post-abortion care and clinical care for survivors of sexual violence.

He is the first black to Seat on the CHOICE for Sexuality Board and the only African to be appointed for such a position. He holds several Advisory roles with international organizations such as The PACT, Youths Combating NTDs, Share-Net International, Y+ Global and is Founder of Organization For Health in Sustainable Development (OHISD) a Youth-Led, Youth- Serving Organization which focuses on Advocacy and service delivery in Sexual, Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, Child and Adolescent Health (SRMNCAH).

Enow Studied Biochemistry at the University of Yaoundé 1 in Yaoundé, Cameroon, General Medicine at The University of Bamenda, in Bamenda, Cameroon, Civic Leadership at the Ghana institute of Management and public administration (GIMPA) in Accra Ghana, Public Health Administration at Le Centre Africain d’Etudes Supérieures en Gestion (CESAG) in Dakar Senegal, Conflict resolution and Project Management at the National Training Academy (NTA) in Cairo, Egypt and Sexual and Reproductive health at the Royal Tropical Institute KIT in Amsterdam, Holland.

On Awards and Recognition

Enow’s community Service and Advocacy work has earned him several awards, fellowships and Nominations including Health Personality of the Year 2016 and 2017 by the African Youth Awards, Princess recognition award in 2016, Divisional President Manyu at the Cameroon National Youth Council (CNYC), Women Deliver Young Leader 2018 class, African Presidential Leadership Fellow, African Healthcare Innovator, WHO Scholar, NCD Child Young Leader, YALI West Africa Fellow, Kectil Leadership fellow, Self-care Trailblazer, One Young World Ambassador, Associate Royal Commonwealth Fellow, Honorable Youth Parliamentarian, Johnson and Johnson Scholar, AMBROSS Scholar

Cameroon Delegate to the World Youth Forum 2019 and most profoundly a Nkafu Policy Institute Fellow in the Pioneer edition of the Emerging Leaders program of the Denis and Lenora Foundation. Enow has Co-authored two peer reviewed publications with the International Society for Infectious diseases (ISID) and developed an Advocacy Toolkit to improve SRH services in Fragile and Humanitarian settings in Cameroon amidst COVID-19
